5pm at Cade Road led by Revd Helen Hollands.
6:30pm SKY Alpha will be meeting at Cade Road for Secondary Age children.
Unfortunately, there will be NO livestream this week, we encourage anyone who can’t make the services in person to listen to the podcast posted earlier today.
Our Cade Road premises will be open for public worship at 11am tomorrow morning. Please feel free to join us in person if you wish, this service will include Holy Communion. If you know you are going to join us, please use the Service Prebooking form to let us know, but you can just turn up in the morning.

Robin’s Course entitled ‘How we got the church’ continues on Tuesday evening at 7.30 at Shadoxhurst.
Christmas Cards we invite people to place a card on the black board next to the communion table We have decided to aim to collect £150 to buy 10 goats. If we exceed this figure we can throw in a few chickens! Please pass your donation to David, making sure he knows it is for the Christmas appeal.
Christmas Eve Morning service only – AAW crib service with children helping with readings and prayers. Philip asks if people owning cribs can bring them along (small or large) together with the figures. No evening service.

New Course Robin is leading a course entitled ‘How we got the church’ (details on the notice board), at Shadoxhurst on Tuesday evenings, 7.30 to 9, It doesn’t matter if you missed the first one- you are still very welcome. If you need a lift let Robin or Lesley know.
Christmas Card Collection People have shown enthusiasm for a cow, goats or hens but we shall decide together next week. To help you there are some suggestions extracted from the three booklet; these are on the table by the coffee queue for you to peruse.
In a change to the planned service on Sunday 20th August, there will no longer be a service at Cade Road United Church at 10:30 am. The congregation are invited to attend the service at the Kennington United Church at 10 am instead.

Mabel is in Canterbury hospital; she has had an emergency operation to remove a large stone.
Worship committee planned for next Wed is being moved to allow people to hear Rowan Williams at St Peter’s Canterbury. A new date will be arranged soon.
Church meeting (which many of you probably didn’t know about!) has been postponed to Maundy Thursday, 13th April, starting at 7pm. This will be followed by a service and meal (possibly soup).

Cinnamon network – a Christian charity with many links – hopes to start 4Family Ashford in the town soon.In co-operation with ABC and KCC this will ‘help families to help themselves’. Churches are invited to a meeting on 22nd Feb, 7.30 at the Salvation Army on Cudworth Rd. See Paul or Philip for more details.
Tai Chi- The group which meets here is holding a FREE taster session this Wed at 6pm. Give it a go!

Eileen Holdstock died last weekend in hospital at the age of 87. She was a very longstanding member of Cade Road and, before that, of Beaver Congregational Church. Her funeral is on 20th Feb at 10.40 at Charing.

Marion Boxall’s funeral: Fri 10th Feb at 1.45pm at Cade Road; committal at Charing at 3.20pm. Donations are for Galloway’s Society for the Blind and the Red Cross..

Methodist Modern Art Collection. Exhibition at the Beaney in Canterbury until 23rd April. Full details are on the notice board. This should be very worthwhile seeing.
Daffodil Day Methodist Central Hall, Westminster. Mon. 6th March. This is always a popular and much enjoyed event with uplifting singing, guest speakers, and fellowship for all. Men are welcome too!
