Building Work progress
Real life has got in the way of updates to the site, which I will be updating over the next week or so. The progress on the building works has not been as fast as we had hoped, certain issues have cropped up which have slowed work down, but here are a few photographs of the progress to date.
Building Work Continues
Bricks are starting to be laid as the workmen continue the work to improve the site.
Building work is underway
The building work for phase 2 of the works at our church have started. The boiler room is no more, but at least the footings have gone down. Prayers for dry weather for next week so the brickwork can start.
Cafe church fun
Deacon Carys came and led our worship this morning in a Cage church style. In table groups we had to make a 3D model to depict a gospel story. See if you can work them out.
Building Works
Building works are due to start soon and one of the first tasks will be to take out and securely store one of our two stained glass windows. Unfortunately at this we don’t have the funds to refurbish them for display. So today I took the opportunity to photograph them in their current position in the south wall of the church.

JMA
Alongside the church harvest festival a couple of weeks ago we also celebrated our links with the Methodist Church’s JMA (Junior Mission for All). Our young people, both physical and at heart, contribute each year to the JMA and this year collected £51 that will be passed on and spent to support Mission activities both in the UK and abroad. More details about the JMA can be found at the Methodist Church website here.
Toilet Opening & Twinning
We dedicated our new disabled toilet this morning during the Mothering Sunday service, we have also twinned the toilet with one in the Democrat Republic of Congo. Here is a short video clip of the opening of the toilet:
